Sales Audit Associate
Description

The Sales Audit Associate is responsible for ensuring accurate sales information daily through research and analysis of deposits, store paperwork, and computerized data. This position is required to ensure proper reconciliation of daily sales, cash receipts, journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end processing. This job operates as a hybrid position going to our HQ one day every other week.  What You'll Do:Perform daily audits of store or web sales transactions, deposits, and inventory transactions. Ensure accuracy of sales and deposit data by comparing entries and source documents. Research web store bank deposits over/shorts.  Maintain accurate accounting files in an organized and accurate manner. Analyze, research, and resolve reconciliation issues.Process any missing transactions timely.  Correct web order errors and balance sales to payment for each day.  Assist stores with troubleshooting, researching, and resolving problems with sales transactions and balances.  Prepare Month end Sales Audit reports and verify accurate at in balance.  Prepare weekly and month-end journal entries reflecting the month's activity. Prepare Misc. deposit and book the journal entry.  Communicate with Stores, DMs, RDs, and Loss Prevention about reconciliation issues and resolutions.  What You'll Need:   Associate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience, bachelor’s degree preferredPrior experience with sales audit or book to bank account reconciliation for credit card or cash account preferred.Oracle and Lawson experience preferred Microsoft excel and Microsoft Suite experience is required.Must have attention to details and a multitasker.Ability to type fast and accurate along with 10-key experience. This role generally requires 40+ hours per week; however, hours may vary based on workflow.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve various accounting issues.Ability to analysis and reconcile large set of data using excel.
