Salary Range

 

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 annually. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.

Reporting Structure

 

The Sales Auditor reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

 

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

 

The Sales Auditor will support the Vince Retail Operations and Ecommerce teams by performing day-to-day sales audit functions and related accounting activities including month-end close and financial audits (e.g., year-end audits). The Sales Auditor will work closely with other accounting team members, as well as IT and retail store personnel.

 

Reconcile retail store sales on a weekly basisPartner with retail stores and IT to investigate POS register variances and process corrected transactions where applicableRespond to chargeback requests on a weekly basisReport retail sales to stores’ respective landlords and pay percentage rent where requiredRecord and reconcile international sales orders through Global-E platform and internal analysisAnalyze and track gift cards to ensure proper revenue recognition; prepare quarterly roll forwardPrepare monthly journal entries for sales, bank over/short, credit card fees, bad debt, clothing allowance and other itemsPerform monthly reconciliations of retail cash activity between bank & general ledger accountsPerform monthly reconciliations including credit card and gift card balances as well as other itemsSupport our year-end financial auditAssist with special projects and research on an as needed basis

Qualifications/Experience We’re Looking For:

 

Bachelor’s degree in accountingPrevious Sales Audit experience preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solveAbility to work under pressure and multitask with time sensitive constraintsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProactive individual who can work in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environmentWork effectively within the department and across departmentsDesire to identify and implement process improvement opportunitiesPrior experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Adyen and/or New Store preferredStrong background with Microsoft Excel particularly pivot tables, v-lookups, and sum-if functions
