What will I be doing?

As a Sales & Group Rooms Coordinator, at the Juniper Cupertino Hotel, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
\n\nResponsible for initiating reservations for group attendees and for Airline crew, preparing rooming lists, revising existing reservations, building group blocks in the PMS and R&I. Communicating to external customers any communication deemed necessary by the event service managers. \nData entry using Delphi FDC, Microsoft Word, Excel, R&I, Passkey, OnQ PMS\nResponsible for processing commissions, rebates, comp rooms earned, complete pick up and ensure billing is complete, including securing credit card from customers and entering into PMS.\nInitiating and copying and distributing of internal/external letters, forms, bookings, contracts, resumes, reports, room lists, schedules, key packets and mail as needed. \nAnswer telephone and assist internal and external guests with requests.\n\nIn addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
\n\n\nAttends departmental meetings and other scheduled meetings to support business operations, such as group pick up meeting, weekly operations meeting, stand up meetings, and sales meetings.\nKeep work area clean and organized.\nAssist with special projects assigned by management.\nPerforms other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required by management.\nMaintain a good working relationship with other departments, employees, and guests.\n\n\n

What are we looking for?
\nEDUCATION
\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required. 4-year college degree preferred.
\n\n
EXPERIENCE
\nRequires a minimum of two years of experience in guest contact areas of the hospitality industry. Hotel experience preferred. Must have one-year previous experience as administrative assistant, in related field preferred.
\nOnQ PMS, Front Desk, Reservations, Delphi, R&I experience preferred.
