Sales Coordinator

Job purpose

The Sales Coordinator assists DSM’s and Sales Manager in communicating with the retail network operations, to provide needed information on product changes, specifications, standards, pricing, and all matters concerning the sale, production, and transportation of products.

 

Duties and responsibilities

Work with retailers by telephone or email to provide information about products, price out homes (spec), process orders, and provide needed information. Return Calls and emails on all requests from retail network and customers Keep records of interactions with retail members and memorialize them in emails with the DSM to keep everyone informed of what has been requested and what has been accomplished Follow up on any tasks that were requested and not completed Email DSM’s throughout the day to see if they need assistance on any tasks Inform Sales Manager of any issues that arise which may require additional insight or involvement to reach a satisfactory conclusion Spend time in the building facility to learn the building process and the components used After developing sufficient knowledge of plant operations, conduct factory tours of the Austin facilities to prospective customers Refer complaints of product or service issues to appropriate departments Assist in data entry and coordination of shipping process as needed Coordinate necessary communications to retail network and customers, at the direction of Sales Manager or General Manager, in all areas concerning plant operations and business

 

Qualifications

High School diploma Must be legally authorized to work in the United States 1 year experience in a Customer Service or Sales environment, a plus Experience in a manufacturing environment, a plus  Be able to read, write, and speak English Bilingual writing and speaking, a plus Some college preferred Qualified candidate will need to pass a drug screen, a pre-employment physical and a background check.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applicant should have working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook programs (AS400 experience, a plus) Effective time management skills Strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a climate-protected environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task Desire to learn and apply new skills to assist others Communication Skills in individual and Group Settings, a plus Ability to identify problems and issues of varying complexities and to find effective solutions with few guidelines

 

Working conditions

The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions and from temperature changes Must wear protective equipment while in operations area of plant  Sales Coordinator will work mainly in an office environment, but will also spend time in the operations area of the plant and in the storage areas of the property.

 

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees as well as function safely around construction equipment Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing to a significant degree
