Sales Coordinator - Hotel Zamora
Job Descriptions: The Sales Coordinator supports the sales & marketing operations with the goal of maximizing rates and over-all revenues. Partners with hotel management to lead the sales & marketing operations and relationships with the goal of maximizing negotiated group and transient rate in conjunction with overall revenue; works closely with accounting as applicable to any sales related accounting measures; provides outstanding customer service on behalf of the property and its ownership. Essential Functions + Assists sales team to identify new contacts, develops sales leads, and responds to sales opportunities in order to maximize revenue + Fully understands the hotel amenities, packages, and promotions + Generates and develops sales leads and contacts potential clients to build business relationships + Produces proposals, event orders, and reservation confirmations for all clients + Produces accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the GM, DOSM and other managers + Records all appointments, follow-up meetings, and effectively tracks business leads + Regularly monitors client satisfaction and resolves any outstanding issues to foster relationships and secure future business + Arranges and completes site visits and hotel tours + Champions, networks, and prospects to raise awareness of the brand + Acts as a business partner, not a supplier to key accounts. Talks with key accounts about their business challenges. Listens and partners to find ways for the hotel or brand to solve client problems + Is an expert in the market and understands how to differentiate the brand in the market + Completes other tasks and duties as assigned based on business needs Required Experience: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS + Minimum 1 years of experience in sales or an equivalent number of years of education and sales experience + Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; Ability to communicate effectively with community partners, vendors, external parties, and across internal divisions + Shares a passion for the mission, vision, and values of Sherman Associates + Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel WORK ENVIRONMENT + This job operates in a professional office environment + This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines + Exposed to ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment found in a typical office environment; quiet to moderate noise level PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Must be able to sit or stand at a desk or other areas of the property throughout the day based on business needs + Must have the ability to move around freely throughout the property and office, and necessity varies from day to day + Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach other departments of the hotel in a timely manner + Must be able to lift up to 25-30 lbs. occasionally + Requires grasping, writing, sitting or standing, moving about freely, repetitive motions, bending, and communicating effectively Keyword: Sales Manager, Sales, Marketing, PR, Public Relations, Hotel, Hospitality, Tourism, Event Planner, Events, Leasing, Development From: Sherman Associates
