Sales/Design Consultant
Behind the Design is searching for a driven Sales Design Consultant for a vibrant showroom in Richmond! Our team there specializes in window treatments and custom design solutions. A Bird’s Eye View of the Role:  Work closely with our design team, installers, and management to provide exceptional service to clients, project-managing the sale of unique window treatments tailored to their needs. You’ll handle the full sales cycle, from lead generation and quoting to follow-ups and ordering, with support from our office team. Our Offer + Choose between two compensation models: base plus commission or commission only- up to you!  + Base salary of $40k.  + Projected 1st year earning: $69–73k, with growth to $80k+ in year 2 and beyond. + Quarterly bonuses available upon meeting goals. + 2 weeks of PTO, 3 sick days and 6 paid holidays per year. + A collaborative, team environment with encouraging leadership and a sense of community.  + Company vehicle, mileage reimbursement, and tech and tooling provisions. + Employee discount of 10% on our product lines. + Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Exceptions for work-life balance.  A Day in the Life in 4 Parts + Client Interaction & Sales: + Meet with clients in the showroom or at their homes. + Provide design recommendations based on client needs. + Manage client relationships from lead to follow-up and after-sales support. + Collaborate closely with installers to ensure smooth project execution. + Sales Process & Ordering: + Prepare quotes, place orders, and follow up on client requests. + Ensure accuracy in order placements to avoid chargebacks. + Shared responsibility with the team for tracking orders, but you’ll be the main point of contact. + Lead Generation & Follow-Up: + Some lead generation is encouraged but leads will be provided. + Engage in account management and follow-up to execute on closing sales.  + Team Collaboration: + Interface with installers and operations to provide the best customer experience. Key Qualifications: + Background in design preferred but not required. + Our ideal candidate has experience in in-home sales processes that include quoting, meticulous measuring or space mapping, account management, and project management through the installation process. + Strong social skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and teammates. + Flexibility to adapt to the fast-paced, day-to-day changes. + Ability to handle a high volume of appointments while project managing and maintaining a positive attitude. + Experience with Quoterite is a plus!  Ready to Join Us?
