Position OverviewThe primary role of the Sales Development Representative (SDR) is to build brand awareness in new and existing markets in ways that foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders at targeted practices. The SDR will work closely with the existing marketing, sales, and account management teams – along with leaders throughout the organization – to define target audiences and develop effective content. The SDR is responsible for manufacturing both cold and warm interactions through phone, email, fax, social media, and other channels with providers, practice managers, office administrators, care team members, and other clinical operations’ staff at target practices.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesQuickly but thoroughly learn the pharmacogenetics space and Genomind’s value propositions to ensure a high-level of competency when selling its unique benefits to potential prescribing practicesDevelop and manage target audiences using internal and external databases and with consultation from account managers, regional sales managers, and area directorsUtilize effective cold and warm calling techniques to build brand awareness and secure qualified meetings with target practicesCommunicate industry updates to new and existing accounts, including new product announcements, insurance plan changes, upcoming events, and other key informationManage multiple inbound lead channels including, but not limited to, web, phone, and chat leadsUtilize Salesforce.com and ActiveCampaign to effectively document and track performanceAdhere to best practices for task follow-up, and documentation of all sales activityEnsure internal documentation is completed accurately and within appropriate timeframesMeet (and exceed) quota for new client engagementsOperate at the highest ethical standard during every customer interaction and in alignment with Genomind’s core values.QualificationsKnowledge of or experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry desiredCompetitive spirit, with customer-focused attitudeProven ability to drive engagement, influence others and sell over the phoneExcellent listening skills and ability to uncover pain points and identify opportunitiesExceptional organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to collaborate effectively with employees at all levelsAbility to follow directives with demonstrated commitment to completing tasksConsistently positive attitude, with a commitment to ongoing self-developmentEducationBachelor's degree in related field and/ or 2-3 years of inside or sales development experienceClinical experience desired (e.g. clinicians, RNs, PTs, techs, etc.)
