Sales Development Representative

We are searching for an upbeat, sales-focused, results-driven professional to join our Sales Development team to head outbound efforts, drive lead generation, qualify inbound inquires and help fill the top of our commercial team’s pipelines. The sales development representative will do outbound prospecting and research, using our ideal customer profile, to connect with the appropriate travel contact through cold calling and emailing. This expert must enjoy the challenge of the hunt and the ability to showcase and highlight our offerings in a compelling fashion. As part of our commercial organization, this role will report to the Sales Development Manager **Who You Are:** + You are an optimist. You are rejection-proof. You are not phased when people ignore your emails and calls, the challenge of cutting through the clutter motivates you. + You possess a deep desire to learn enterprise SAAS sales from the ground up and can demonstrate that you have the determination to be a rainmaker. + You are bold, optimistic, and confident and you love to win. + You are both adaptable and inventive; you will never say “that’s just how we’ve always done it”, instead looking for new ways to increase your impact. + You absorb and implement change quickly with limited disruption to your day-to-day production and workflow. + You prioritize tasks and are able to handle several disparate tasks throughout your workday. + You are proficient with Salesforce.com, ZoomInfo, Marketo, LinkedIn, Orum, Outreach **What You’ll Do:** + Outbound prospecting; apply SalesForce (CRM), cold calling and email to generate new sales opportunities + Respond, engage and qualify inbound leads and inquiries in a timely manner and facilitate a smooth hand-off to commercial team for a sales appointment and/or demo + Navigate through company information/research to find key decision makers and get past gatekeepers to reach them + Further lead responses and develop relationships with potential clients + Collaborate with marketing and commercial team to align on the most up-to-date messaging and remain consistent with GBT’s strategy, vision, and goals + Stay knowledgeable on GBT’s newest products and services and current with business travel trends + Assist with ad-hoc marketing projects and campaigns **What We’re Looking For:** + Experience in inside sales or business development with a consistent track record of achieving or surpassing sales goals + Proficiency with SalesForce or other CRM software + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal + Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and/or ZoomInfo + Self-motivated, results-oriented, and tenacious; unafraid of rejection + Willingness to adapt and ability to thrive in the everchanging business travel industry + Ability to adjust quickly to optimize processes based on results or standard methodologies + Experience working with multiple partners to prioritize effectively while handling diverse needs among multiple teams **_Candidates within a commutable range to the Chicago office work in-office twice weekly._** **Location** Chicago, Illinois, United States The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that Egencia expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual Performance Based Incentive, which rewards participants based on company performance, one of our metric-driven Sales Incentive Plans (certain direct sales roles only), or one of our Client Management Incentive Award (CMIA) programs.
