Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) work diligently to engage incoming leads and prospect potential new business. Sales Development Representatives contribute to the delivery of our overall sales goals by engaging warm leads through consistent call and email outreach to book product demos. They will also improve prospect information stored in PitchBook’s CRM through consistent documentation of all prospect or client interactions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

\n\nAchieve daily, weekly, and monthly outreach goals including demo and call volume while providing an excellent experience for prospective clients\nConnect with your primary inbound prospect pipeline through written and verbal communication to book demos that show off the PitchBook product offering and drive deal closure\nProspect leads provided by Marketing and search for key points of contact by using the PitchBook Platform\nDrive engagement with prospects through personally crafted sequences and/or marketing provided materials via Highspot\nUtilize Outreach to assist in regular and timely communication with potential clients\nDocument details of each prospective client interaction in Salesforce to improve the customer experience and drive deal closure\nAct as a consultant to prospects by seeking to understand their needs and business priorities\nGuide potential clients through needs analysis and discovery sessions to qualify the lead and drive new opportunities\nWork closely with Outside Sales to learn about the need of our clients and the end-to-end sales cycle\nConsistently follow-up on prospective client inquiries\nSupport the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors\nParticipate in various company initiatives and projects as requested\n\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n\nBachelor’s degree preferred\nPrior internship experience or 1 year of work experience, ideally in finance or sales\nPrior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred\nLove to prospect – you will act as the engine of our Sales team by warming up leads to be shared with Outside Sales\nAbility to operate with a strong sense of urgency and deliver results\nDemonstrate curiosity with a positive attitude\nDemonstrate prioritization skills to handle the large volume of leads efficiently\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\nPossess strong negotiation skills and can effectively close leads\nTeam player with entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to try new ideas in order to achieve greater levels of success\nSelf-motivated, persistent and goal-oriented attitude and can work effectively as an individual or as part of a team\nInterested in financial markets or services, particularly private equity and venture capital\nProficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily\n\n

Working Conditions:

\n

We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have some flexibility to work remotely. Most roles work in the office 3+ days/week, and some are expected to work in the office 4-5 days/week. The current expectation for this role is that you are working in the office 5 days/week and that you are in the office full-time during the training period, for which the length varies by role. During an initial phone screen, the team will discuss expectations for this specific position.

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
