Sales Director - Flow Control & Valves (FCV)

We are seeking an accomplished Sales Director who will have ultimate responsibility for the direction and leadership of Emerson's UK&I Flow Controls Sales business. Directly leading and organising the FCV Sales Team to meet business targets including bookings and control of SG&A (Sales, General & Administration) expenditure. The successful candidate will indirectly lead and organise the internal dedicated business unit Sales Team through close partnership with UK&I Sales Operations and Maintenance Repairs and Operations (MRO) team.

As a key member of the UK & Ireland senior management team, you will play an integral role in shaping the direction and strategic priorities for Emerson UK and Ireland, contributing to the overall success and vision of the organization.

In this role, your responsibilities will be: 

Lead, organise, manage and coach the UK&I FCV Sales team to meet/exceed annual booking targets. Develop and maintain sales management processes as appropriate. Drive development of strategies and initiatives to ensure long-term business growth and customer loyalty. Form and maintain business relationships with customers that help deliver long-term growth for the business. Lead the business forecasting process for the President’s Operating Report (POR) including monitoring and reporting. Be responsible for the budget-setting process for the business including bookings, gross profit, SG&A, headcount, and capital expenditure. Lead individual budget and goal setting with each part of the FCV Sales Team and any direct reports. Work closely with key stakeholders in the UK and Ireland to maximise total business potential for Emerson Develop relationships with counterparts in Europe to assist each other on Emerson success where needed. Ensure training plans are developed and delivered across the group functional and technical knowledge. Own and define the local country delegation of authority (DOA) limits and process for pricing across the business. Nurture a culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement to drive innovation and productivity gain. Represent Emerson in senior commercial negotiations with customers. Ensure delivery of Company compulsory ETHICS and Trade Compliance training programs on a yearly basis.

For This Role, You will Need:

Background in Sales and Engineering, with the ability to collaborate across technical and commercial domains. Strong leadership skills with a history of leading successful sales teams. Experience and understanding of Flow Control products, services, and operations. Proven record of building long-term relationships with external customers. Experience developing cross-functional relationships within a matrix organization. Full clean driving license.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

Degree qualification (or equivalent) in engineering, business management, or a related subject area.
