Sales Director - Korea

Overview Business Contribution: Lead strategic growth and development of our business in South Korea The position will manage sales revenues and profitability, lead the local team, build relationships with key stakeholders internally & externally, and execute strategic initiatives toward structure, process, channel, vertical markets, target accounts and overall marketing Key Responsibilities: Work closely with APAC management to develop and execute the strategic business and sales plan that directly supports the overall vision and company objectives related to channel, market development, employee development, and growth in South Korea Orchestrates the development of new markets, identifies and developing key accounts, securing new channels of distribution, and the commercialization of new products. Assess competitive activities and strategies. Implements tactical and strategic initiatives to grown Enerpac’s brand position in the marketplace Maintains strict adherence to corporate compliance policies and zero tolerance towards anti-bribery standards for oneself and team Champions the use of technology & sales enablers to facilitate growth such as SFDC, market based analytical tools, and personal evaluation / HR tools Manages the Enerpac Distribution Program leading to strategic partnerships and the development of our existing partners and future channel partners Leads the local team and holds them accountable for meeting KPIs through effective coaching, mentoring, talent acquisition, and performance management Directs the implementation, execution and compliance with all global company policies and best practices Partners with regional marketing to develop and refine sales and promotional campaigns that respond to the competition and local market environment Consults with APAC leadership to establish and enforce effective sales pricing and discounts on all transactions Ensure proper collection of all sales receivables due & keeps all accounts current and immediately raises issues with regional finance leadership Leadership of regular operational improvement & safety events using HSSEQ and LEAD tools Direct Reports: Solid Line Reporting: Territory Managers, Specialty Product Managers, Customer Service / Purchasing, Warehouse Staff Dotted Line Reporting: Finance & Accounting Required Capabilities: Excellent leadership skills and proven manager of people with the ability to attract, develop and retain “A” level talent and build a dedicated team by promoting and rewarding individuals who have made significant contributions Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean languages. Demonstrated ability to present ideas in a clear, concise, and compelling fashion to their team and senior management Strong and proven history working in an international environment displaying understanding of US-based multination organization’s morals and standards Technical aptitude and commercial experience with mechanics, machinery, and industrial products Mature and politically astute with a high degree of intelligence, integrity and honesty, initiative, and drive; ensuring strict adherence to compliance and a zero tolerance towards anti-bribery standards Keen interest and curiosity in understanding what makes the business work and ability to take ownership of how the management team can improve operations and profitability Ability to synthesize, analyze and present data, including solid skills in recognizing, evaluating, and recommending areas for change and potential areas for new growth Consensus builder with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to communicate with peers and garner support for change Proficiency with email and MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Prior experiences with CRM related platforms Willingness and ability to travel and work extended hours as required Education and Experience: 10+ years of experience in a senior-level sales or general management position, including leadership assignments involving long and short-term strategy execution; and recruiting, managing, motivating, and coaching a team with emphasis on meeting sales goals and increasing market share. – turn around experience a plus Experience managing multiple channels to market – online, direct, and through distribution is preferably. Individual should have experience with Digital Marketing Platforms Experience in developing and executing plans that have driven significant incremental revenue and EBITDA growth in their businesses
