About the role:
The sales director oversees a team of sales managers and engineers focused on selling Westinghouse’s Outage and Maintenance product portfolio in southern and eastern Europe, Middle east and South Africa, and Latin America, and meet the overall sales goals for the business segment.
You will lead efforts in developing the capture strategy working with the product line managers from the identification of an opportunity through negotiation and finalization of contracts.
You will also develop and maintain training plans to ensure the individuals sales teams maintain the appropriate technical and sales related knowledge to fulfill the roles. You will oversee maintaining a sales pipeline committed to meeting our goals which includes the identification and development of opportunities to increase Westinghouse’s market share in existing and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet financial goals established for the Business Segment product portfolio including but not limited to Margin As-Sold, Order Entry, and opportunity pipeline growth.
Lead a team to meet Business Segment financial objectives through the capture of profitable orders. Set individual sales targets within the sales team.
Oversee activities and performance of the sales team, ensuring opportunities within Business Segment are being managed through the sales process (bid to contract closure).
Develop and maintain technical and sales related training plans focused on Business Segment needs and ongoing training and counselling of sales team.
Work with Account Managers and Product Directors to generate leads, create capture strategies and develop offers catered to customer needs.
Oversee negotiations with the client until final contract signature, ensuring teamwork and alignment with all relevant WEC stakeholders including Account Management, Product Management, Legal, Finance, and supporting organizations.
Lead or oversee negotiations with consortium partners whenever relevant and drive alignment with all relevant WEC stakeholders.
Oversee the relevant pipeline of opportunities and maintenance of the customer relationship management tool insuring accuracy of data. Tracking sales goals and reporting results.
Lead LOA and offer processes with the Proposal Management team within Westinghouse including presenting the offer for approval and obtaining buy-in from WEC key stakeholders to ensure offering meets Westinghouse target objectives while meeting Customer needs.
Located in proximity to customer base to support sales objectives. Travel to customer locations to facilitate meetings with customers to establish relationships and engagement with product line managers as part of the sales process.
Qualifications:Bachelors of Science or Business Degree.
10 -15 years of experience working at or with Nuclear Utilities.
Knowledge of Nuclear Utility buying processes
General knowledge of related Nuclear Plant Operations
Sales related experience and/or education
Commercial knowledge and experience
Management experience
Strong business acumen
Exceptional leadership and management skills
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Preferred qualifications:
on-site nuclear plant experience in a utility position or customer-facing role as a vendor.
