In this role, you will develop targeted growth programs, lead sales teams, diversify our industry portfolio, and leverage our installed base to profitably grow top-line sales. Join our dynamic and diverse team, which covers western U.S. and western Canada! The ideal candidate will be based in Denver, CO, Phoenix, AZ, or another major city in the US West.
The Sales Director will own the development and execution of strategies aimed at achieving profitable growth across various sales channels in the West Area. Supporting the Area Vice President, you will play an integral part of the West Area Leadership Team, focusing on tracking, forecasting, and driving sales performance.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Work closely and collaboratively with the Direct Sales Channel, Impact Partners, and Business Unit management to implement sales growth initiatives and drive incremental, profitable topline growth. Lead and drive results for assigned growth programs that could include digital transformation, lifecycle services, sustainability, reliability, industry diversification, digital sales, sales efficiency, and more. Advise Area Vice President on strategies to strengthen existing customer base, capitalize on changing markets, and grow emerging markets. Ensure a collaborative culture and achieve results based on Emerson long term goals across all platforms and growth objectives. Focus on talent development and provide coaching to ensure area sales force is prepared both technically and commercially to sell products and services. Guide assessment processes for sales management, direct sales and Impact Partners and complete any support actions required. Actively participate in assigned project pursuit efforts for local or international projects where there is West Area sales influence. Act as sponsor for assigned customer accounts and/or lead initiatives for specific industry segments. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $175,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
