Basic Job Functions:The Sales Engineer will be primarily responsible for Taking Care of our Customers by building and sustaining strong, engaged relationships. The Sales Engineer is expected to be a leader in planning and executing the division's business development strategy. This role calls for a high level of collaboration with sales and non-sales teammates within the entire Vulcraft/Verco group to drive enterprise-wide results. Additional responsibilities include teammate development, providing valued cost-effect design options that meet customer and project criteria, organizing and coordinating project requirements with internal and external customers, reviewing project orders for accuracy and revisions, and providing accurate joist and deck cost estimates from project plans and specifications. This position will have the opportunity to be located in the Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and Little Rock, Arkansas Sales Office. A hybrid schedule will be discussed after required training.
Expectations for this position include the following:
Candidates must be willing and able to travel for business development meetings, customer visits and other engagements.
Candidates must obtain PE or SE certification within five years of hire date.

Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: PE and/or SE license Experience in the steel joist and deck industry Degree emphasis in structural design Estimating/detailing experience Knowledge of general building construction Willingness to relocate
