Coperion is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team in Pitman, NJ, to drive the growth of Coperion compounding solutions in North America. As a Sales Engineer, you will be instrumental in expanding our market share and establishing strong relationships with customers through a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen.
Work You’ll Do
Identify and develop new business opportunities to enhance Coperion's market presence in the compounding sector across North America.
Conduct engaging sales and technical presentations, both in-house and at customer locations, to effectively communicate the value of our products and solutions.
Collaborate closely with the Sales Director to negotiate and finalize sales agreements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives.
Assist in formulating innovative marketing strategies and conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends and opportunities.
Analyze customer technical and commercial inquiries, and prepare detailed proposals that address their specific requirements.
Lead discussions and negotiations with customers, leveraging your technical knowledge to address concerns and highlight product benefits.
Partner with Legal Counsel and the Sales Director to review and finalize contracts, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
Input and track new customer activities in our sales management software (e.g., Direct Selling) daily to ensure accurate reporting and follow-up.
Basic Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering, technology, and/or sales related to capital goods, such as plastics machinery or comparable products.
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Proficient in computer applications and software, including Microsoft office
Demonstrates a high level of integrity in all professional interactions.
The ability to travel 30%.
