Job Title: Sales Engineer

Job Description

Step into a dynamic role as a Sales Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of engaging with both current and new customers. You'll handle a vibrant market, receive inquiries, review blueprints, and actively quote and price products. This position involves strategic planning, pricing, selling, and providing exceptional customer service for technically oriented markets that utilize heat, wear, and corrosion-resistant metal alloys. Your focus will be on creating component parts, not the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with current and new customers to understand and address their needs.Blueprint Expertise: Review blueprints and provide accurate quotes and pricing for products.Market Strategy: Plan, price, and sell products in technically demanding markets.Customer Service Excellence: Offer outstanding customer service for heat, wear, and corrosion-resistant metal alloys.Issue Resolution: Handle internal customer issues with efficiency and professionalism.Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

Essential Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Metallurgical, or related field).Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sales Engineer.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in reading blueprints and experience in pricing and quoting.

Work Environment:

Based at our headquarters in Waukesha, you'll join a team of 12 engineers within a larger group of 420 employees. As part of the North American Foundry Group, you'll engage in inside sales with minimal travel (3-4 times a year). Our company, with 1,200 employees globally, fosters a customer service-oriented, team-focused culture emphasizing long-term relationships. The market you'll handle includes naval, aerospace, mining, and chemical sectors.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
