**Sales Engineer**
**Location** : Nashville, TN
**Salary** : $100k - $115k + bonus
**Type** : Permanent Position
**Summary** :
The Sales Engineer will manage all sales efforts to meet or exceed sales goals. This role involves coordinating between customers and departments (engineering, operations, quality, inside sales, and accounting). The Sales Engineer will maintain existing business and pursue new opportunities, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions for new and legacy business.
**Key Responsibilities** :
+ **New Business Pursuit** :
+ Serve as the main contact for new business inquiries.
+ Evaluate Bid/NoBid decisions with the Business Unit Manager, VP of Sales, and Engineering Team.
+ Coordinate proposal preparation, including cost estimation.
+ Finalize and submit proposals.
+ Follow up with customers on feedback and action items.
+ Track new business opportunities and win rates.
+ **Proposal/Contract Management** :
+ Review Terms and Conditions at the proposal stage.
+ Assist in contract negotiations.
+ Ensure final terms are communicated to all functions post-award.
+ **Program Management** :
+ Act as Program Manager for new business programs until transition.
+ Stay involved in program progress and customer communication.
+ **Customer Service** :
+ Guide and assist the Customer Service Team.
+ Train new Customer Service Representatives.
+ Prepare quotations for legacy products.
+ **Customer Visits** :
+ Visit new and existing customers to strengthen relationships.
+ Travel 30-50%, primarily in North America, Central and South America, and Europe.
+ Work closely with Outside Sales Representatives.
+ **Planning and Sales Data Management** :
+ Prepare annual forecasts for OEM and Aftermarket business.
+ Conduct variance analysis and update forecasts.
+ Conduct profitability analysis by part number/program.
+ **Other Duties** :
+ As assigned by the Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
**Qualifications** :
+ **Education** : B.S. in Engineering or Business (Aviation background preferred).
+ **Experience** : 2+ years in technical OEM sales.
+ **Skills** :
+ Strong technical and business background.
+ Effective communication and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
