Position: Sales Engineer -Non-Fire Protection HVAC Location:Bangalore, India

Reports To:Regional Sales Manager

 

SCOPE: As a Sales Engineer, this role will be responsible for Sales and Promotion of the Victaulic product range and system in India (Bangalore).

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

        Responsible for sales and promotion of the Company product range in his territory

        Prospect and visit Owners, Engineering Offices – MEP Consultants, Job Sites, PMC, Architects, Contractors, Distributors, and all other relevant instances in order to

        promote the Victaulic System in his territory.

        demonstrate and explain the Victaulic tools.

        Pursue and obtain the acceptance and specification of the Victaulic System by the Industry, Owners, Engineering Companies and Contractors.

        Ensure that the proper knowledge of the Victaulic System is present in his territory, through usage of adequate means such as: seminars, training, technical literature, and technical support.

        Participate at trade shows and other promotional activities beneficial to the promotion of the Victaulic system.

        Liaise with the local Victaulic distributor to ensure the proper information flow is available and maintained.

        Visit job sites and follow up on the installation process of the Victaulic System by the contractors. Train the contractor's personnel in usage and installation of the Victaulic system if required.

        Handle product claims in cooperation with Victaulic Corporate Engineering.

        Provide assistance to finance personnel in collecting receivables on customers

        Report on weekly basis to his superior on activities and marketing information in his territory. Using SPM as required by company policy. Achieve budgeted sales and results in his territory.

        Co-ordinate with other sales colleagues in the territory.

        EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

        University or College degree, preferably as mechanical engineer, or demonstrate equivalent


technical knowledge acquired through experience.

        Familiarity with the Piping Products & System or show the ability to quickly acquire the necessary knowledge and skills.

        Strong experience of Project Tender Specification work

        Good Relation with MEP Industry Stakeholders

        Willing to travel as required.

        Strong communication skills and professional appearance.

        Living in his territory.

 

 

        LANGUAGE SKILLS

        Can communicate fluently in the Local language and in English.

        Knowledge of any other language is an asset.
