Sales Engineer - Machining

Compensation:
The compensation will be consist of base salary commensurate with experience + Uncapped Commission + Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision + 401k and match + Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) + car allowance + laptop + cell phone allowance.

This role is key in driving revenue growth by identifying and developing business opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and providing technical expertise in machining and fabrication. Job Duties:
1. Outside Sales Responsibilities (75%)
Actively sell Company's Machining's products and services within the assigned territory.
Meet or exceed sales targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Spend at least 50% of your time visiting existing and potential customers in person.
Conduct virtual sales meetings via Teams or similar platforms when on-site visits are not feasible.
Identify and attract new customers.
Follow up on all leads and quotes from various sources.
Stay informed about changes in the assigned territory, such as new potential customers or the loss of existing ones.
Understand customer needs, both expressed and unexpressed, and educate them on how our products or services meet those needs.
Attend and participate in trade shows as required.
Perform service calls as needed.
Resolve customer complaints and issues professionally and promptly.
Utilize CRM and manage the sales pipeline daily.
2. Inside Sales Responsibilities (25%)
Forecast sales for the assigned territory.
Generate leads using all available sources.
Make cold calls, follow up on leads, plan customer visits, and set appointments.
Maintain a weekly quote follow-up list.
Maintain customer relationships and document interactions.
Understand and document reasons for lost quotes.
Assist with inside sales calls when available.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in a technical field or relevant work experience.
3–5 years of technical/industrial sales experience (machining experience preferred).
Familiarity with machining principles, engineering drawings, and measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Skilled in common office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Able to travel 3–5 nights per week, with occasional air travel and long-distance driving.
Physical capabilities: lift up to 70 pounds, climb ladders, and sit/stand for extended hours.
Mechanical & technical aptitude, math skills, including algebra and geometry
