Sales Engineer - Power Systems

 As a Sales Engineer, a typical day might include the following:  

Manage and develop relationships with SEL customers.Understand the true requirements and objectives of customers.  Determine, communicate and deliver the optimal SEL solution that best meets their needs.Building and maintain knowledge of all SEL products and teaching customers SEL technology and innovation.Develop, maintain and deliver upon quarterly orders forecasts and sales goals.Collect, analyze and report industry, competitor and customer trends to the greater SEL organization.Work collaboratively to understand and drive the resolution of customer feedback and product issues.Liaise between customers, contracts & risk, and accounts receivable to facilitate commercial relationships.Utilize business tools to maintain customer relationship information, opportunity tracking and sales activities.

This job might be for you if possess the following:   

A B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in technical sales2 or more years of experience in an electrical engineering or technical sales environmentDemonstrated success working in a customer facing roleAbility to travel 25-30% of the timeEffective and engaging communication skillsAbility to skillfully manage price and commercial negotiations with the support and guidance of senior team membersAbility to learn new skills and assume new responsibilitiesAbility to work cooperatively in a team environment

 
Preferred Qualifications:

Utility, industrial, or manufacturing industry experienceExperience with electrical relay panels or enclosuresLeadership experienceExperience using SEL products

Pay Range Data

$80,000 - $120,000 per year. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
