Sales Engineer/Sales Product Specialist
Preferred location: Greater Boston area, or near major US airport. Position Summary: The Sales Product Specialist / Sales Engineer will play a critical role in supporting RaySecur's sales team by providing technical expertise and ensuring seamless execution of pre-sales, sales support, and operational activities. This role bridges the gap between technical solutions and customer needs, while also providing operational support to enhance sales effectiveness and ensure a positive customer experience.  Key Responsibilities: Pre-Sales Support + Develop sales tools and refine processes to empower field sales teams and drive revenue generation. + Prepare and deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations, both virtually and onsite. + Utilize resources and apply learning to teach and tailor product solutions to the customer’s environment. + Act as the product technical expert liaison during the sales process to address customer inquiries and concerns. Sales Operations Support + Input HubSpot CRM data, ensuring accurate tracking of sales activities, customer data, and key metrics . + Prepare and refine sales-related documents, including proposals, presentations, and reports. + Support management of sales demo equipment fleet, including demo logistics coordination. RFP & Contract Management + Manage the RFP and contract processes, draft comprehensive responses, meet due dates, and ensure that all RFPs and proposals align with customer requirements. + Create and maintain a catalog of FAQs and boilerplate responses to streamline future RFP and contract preparations. + Track and report metrics, including the percentage of RFPs completed, submitted on time, and accepted without submission issues. + Provide administrative support for proposal submission, contract execution, renewals, and updates. Market & Product Awareness + Stay informed on product launches, marketing promotions, industry trends, and market insights, sharing actionable data to support sales growth. + Provide sales teams with relevant updates on market dynamics and competitor activity. Trade Shows & Events + Represent RaySecur at industry trade shows and events, showcasing product capabilities and networking with potential customers. + Support logistics for trade show participation, including setup, booth management, and follow-up activities. Cross-Functional Collaboration + Work closely with the product and engineering teams to stay informed on product updates, features, and developments. + Collaborate with marketing on sales enablement tools and materials. + Provide field feedback to inform product improvements and customer needs. Customer Support Transition + Support the handoff of customers to post-sale service teams, ensuring a smooth transition and clear communication of customer expectations and requirements. Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. + 3+ years of experience in field sales support, technical sales, or sales engineering role, in a technology or security-related field. + Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and sales processes. + Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand and explain complex solutions, including setup, demonstration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems + Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. + Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. + Willingness to travel as needed (up to 75%). Preferred Qualifications + Experience with public sector contracts (e.g., GSA, Federal, State, and Local). + Familiarity with security technologies or public safety solutions. + Knowledge of sales metrics, forecasting, and reporting.
