About the Role
Elsevier is looking for a motivated, action-oriented, self-starter to increase sales with named life science accounts for our innovative Market Analyzer product. You will focus on new prospects and expanding our footprint today at 15 of the top 20 life science customers.
Responsibilities
Identifying key contacts and decision makers within a customer organization and develops exceptional relationships with those contacts.Creating and implementing Account Plans within the prospective accountsDriving new business opportunities to exceed quota and annual sales targetsCollaborating effectively with all internal stakeholders including Product Management, Marketing, Operations, and Implementation.Providing accurate reporting and forecasting of sales. Keeping current records and building account profiles by updating account and contact information and managing account data in our CRM.Promoting, driving, and delivering on any promotional product strategies.Performing effective product demonstrations remotely through Zoom or other technology-based applications.Requirements
Have a proven track record of success from B2B sales, technology solution selling experience to life sciences.Have a proven track-record of success in prospecting, closing new business, leading to consistent quota achievement.Have a proactive, competitive, and results-oriented mindset and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are tenacious and driven to progress leads rapidly in typically slow-to-move large corporations.Have a high-level understanding of the life science product life cycle and the US life science market. A health or biomedical background or knowledge of oncology drugs is a plus.Demonstrate experience with “Consultative Selling” to identify and solve customer problems.Experience selling technology solutions in a complex B2B/healthcare environment, with multiple influencers and decision makers.Demonstrate ability to accurately forecast new business opportunities and renewals.Have excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Coupled with exceptional communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, fluency in English.Able to travel as necessary, estimated 40% overnight.Work in a way that works for you
