Your role and responsibilities

As the Sales Leader / Market Developer focusing on Residential Energy Management, this role will be responsible for growing the energy management portfolio, including smart panels and other key electrical components and software solutions, across North America. Leads a team of sales application engineers to drive revenue growth, provide best-in-class technical and commercial support to customers, and advocate internally to gain mind share within the organization’s sales force. Conducts proactive business development aligned with the business line’s strategy to ensure profitable growth and sustainable deployment of the strategic plan. A deep understanding of both residential solar and storage systems, and electrification is essential to drive profitable growth and long-term success.The work model for the role is preferred to be hybrid out of Cary, NC or Charlottesville, VA, but open to remote candidates.You will be mainly accountable for:- Defining, developing, and executing the strategies and business plans related to focus segments, channels, and applications for the Residential Energy Management segment in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing teams.- Defining Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for existing products as well as new product launches in collaboration with the Marketing function and ensuring their achievement.- Supporting the organization in the execution of product launches and customer events. Ensuring profitable business growth focused on orders, revenues, margins, market shares, and customer satisfaction, as well as the implementation of particular product, application, and segment initiatives, in collaboration with the business line’s stakeholders.- Guiding the solar and storage sales application team and acting as a strong influencer when working with other relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelors required; masters preferred. Preference for degrees in engineering or business administration. Any certifications in renewables and sustainability are a plus.5 years of experience minimum in the renewables (especially behind the meter solar & storage) and/or energy management markets. Previous experience guiding and supporting Product Marketing and Sales teams to ensure the right capabilities are in place. Experience creating sales + business strategy, market intelligence, go-to-market strategy, pricing excellence, channel support, and marketing strategy.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
