Working Hours/Days 7AM – 5PM, additional hours as needed Overview

Altorfer Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced sales leader to manage all aspects of rental sales for Altorfer Rents. The Rental Sales Manager can sit at one of the following Chicagoland Altorfer Rents locations: Naperville, IL; Wauconda, IL; or Joliet, IL.

Basic Duties Manage and oversee the rental sales department of approximately 12-15 outside sales representatives. Provide sales leadership, training and personnel development for employees as needed, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Manage day to day activities of sales team, including overall profitability and sales performance within division.Demonstrate strong customer communication & developmental skills as well as the ability to manage and motivate a large, diverse workforce.Oversee sales productivity and performance including conducting annual reviews and administering disciplinary action as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 2-4 year college degree in business or 5 years’ equivalent management experience is required.Background in equipment rental sales preferred.Must have the ability to influence others in a positive manner to accomplish long term goals.Ability to write professional business communication by email or letter is required.Must be able to problem solve and handle any issues that might occur in a professional manner.Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and customer service skills are needed.30% of overnight travel will be required.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to work extra hours when needed. Computer literate, PC experience with programs such as Microsoft, Excel, Word, and Outlook is required.High School Diploma or equivalent is required.Must possess a valid driver’s license with clean driving record. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate). Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

This position works in an office and field environment as selected candidate will spend a portion of time traveling (30% expected travel time) with sales reps to customer offices and jobsites. Office environment will include sitting at a desk for a period of time to answer phone calls or use a keyboard to complete documents and communicate through email. Noise level on a customer jobsite might be moderate to high and the noise level in the office environment is usually low. May be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields, steel toe boots, hard hat, etc.) when needed. May, on a continuous basis, walk, bend and lift up to 75lbs. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional travel will be required.
