The Sales Manager - Special Markets will be responsible for identifying, developing, and growing strategic sales opportunities across OEM, corporate customers, and state and local agencies. This role requires an individual who has a deep understanding of sales processes and an ability to build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in both the private and public sectors. You will work closely with sales leadership and senior management teams to ensure that Revelyst Outdoor Products is meeting the needs of these specialized markets while delivering a world-class customer experience.
This position reports to the Senior Director, US Sporting Goods & Lifestyle, and is located in Bozeman, MT
As the Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Market Development & Growth:
Develop and execute sales strategies focused on OEM, corporate accounts, and government agencies, including the U.S. Forest Service, Game Wardens, and other public sector entities.
Identify and establish new sales channels within target markets while maintaining and expanding existing accounts.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers, including procurement officers, agency managers, and senior executives within target markets.
Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer needs, and adjust sales tactics accordingly.
Sales Execution & Revenue Generation:
Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth through direct and indirect sales efforts.
Lead product presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions with high-value accounts.
Ensure that all sales activities align with the overall sales goals and strategies of Revelyst Outdoor Products.
Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for all special market customers, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
Manage ongoing relationships and provide solutions to any post-sale issues, ensuring customer loyalty and repeat business.
Monitor customer feedback and provide insights to the product development team for potential product improvements or new product ideas.
Reporting & Forecasting:
Track and report on sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline opportunities.
Develop sales forecasts and provide accurate sales projections based on market conditions and historical data.
You have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or business development, with a focus on OEM, corporate, or government markets.
Proven track record of success in managing and growing sales in the special markets or public sector space.
Strong understanding of government procurement processes, regulations, and key decision-making structures (knowledge of U.S. Forest Service, Game Wardens, or similar agencies is a plus).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused attitude.
Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
Pay Range:
Annual Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
