Job Summary
Responsible for Sales and portion of Marketing efforts of CSX’s Export Coal portfolio with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
Sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to coal producers and commodity traders globally. Develop, negotiate and close large, complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc. Create and execute strategic account plans for customers. Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while striving for improved performance or increased business levels. Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Service Design, Transportation, and Bulk Operations. Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by managerMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree 3 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or FinancePreferred Qualifications
Graduate Degree 5 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales, Account Management, Marketing, or FinanceKnowledge and Skills
Knowledge of the railroad or transportation industries Ability to handle complex accounts and develop strong relationships Analytical, financial, negotiation skills Problem-solving Excellent oral and written communication Leadership skills Ability to effectively deliver presentations to a variety of audiences Ability to travel internationally
