Location Description A Riverside Conference Experience off the banks of the Hudson River nestled within the Croton Bay area boasting proximity to New York City and surrounding metro areas. A soulful place that celebrates the natural Hudson Valley beauty where guests gather on milestones of education, training and professional achievement for a toast while engaging in the wellness of the pristine outdoors. • 248 well appointed guestrooms • Over 70K square feet of state of the art meeting & event space • Three food & beverage outlets • 62+ acres of trails, expansive fitness center, basketball, team-building, volleyball and your imagination Overview Crotonville Hotel and Conference Cetner is seeking a creative, proactive 'go-getter' salesperson to promote and sell the services of the conference center to maximize room and banquet revenue through phone and email solicitation, in-person meetings, and other sales actions. You'll serve as the hotel representative to prospective clients and customers who are seeking, meeting, learning and retreat spaces. You will actively sell to maximize revenue opportunities and be responsible for driving customer & guest loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer/guest experience. Sales managers qualify and respond to sales inquiries in a timely manner and develop new business opportunities by researching prospects utilizing sales tools such as Delphi, reader board services, Cvent and more. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales goals, be creative, a problem solver, has a proven record of being a team player, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team. Salary range is $70,000 to $75,000 plus a Sales Incentive Plan paid quarterly based on booking production up to an additional 20% of salary. Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years experience as a Sales Manager in a hotel/resort environment. SalesForce (Delphi) experience preferred. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with the public as well as other team members. Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls. Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals. Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast paced environment. Positive attitude and good communication skills. Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service. Excellent grooming standards. Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations. Ability to work under pressure and under own initiative. Experience in a sales role with a proven track record to close a sale. Knowledge of local market. Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $70,000.00/Yr. - $75,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
