Are you experienced with commercial negotiations as well as project management? MacGregor’s Equipment and Solutions Division is looking for a Sales Manager, to build long term relationships with customers and support MacGregor Sales Strategy within the SUL (Self-Unloading) segment.
You will be responsible for sales and marketing of the SUL Product Line and will cooperate closely with an experienced cross functional team of professionals with expertise from relevant disciplines within Macgregor.
The position is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. You will report to Director Sales, Marketing & Customer Innovations, Cargo Access Solutions.
About SUL Vessels
Self-Unloading vessels (SUL vessels) are specialized ships designed to discharge bulk cargo independently, without relying on shore-side unloading facilities. This unique capability significantly reduces port turnaround times, enhances operational efficiency, and minimizes reliance on port infrastructure.
Key responsibilities Responsible for maintaining existing customer relations with shipyards, ship owners and design consultants and actively establishing new ones Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and market share goals for our SUL products Lead and manage the sales process from initial customer contact to contract closure, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of proposals and quotations Commercial negotiations with customers incl. price, payment terms and other terms Participate actively in the preparation and realisation of the Sales Budget of assigned Sales Area/Product Line including proposal of marketing activities Plan marketing activities in assigned areas Participate in symposiums, conferences and exhibitions as necessary within the assigned Area/Product Line What you’ll need to succeed Proven track record in sales and business development within the maritime industry Excellent negotiation and communication skills Bachelor degree in Engineering or other relevant field Experience with technical sales Technical knowledge of the strength of materials, mechanics and electrics/hydraulics Negotiation skills Project management skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
