The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all steel sales activities in the assigned market including consulting the sales team, distributing, and controlling prospects, monitoring sales pipelines, managing budgets, and communicating with other departments. Establishes specific plans and strategies to maximize the company’s market share at its existing customer base and expand the customer base in the marketing area.
Responsibilities Works in partnership with leadership to create and implement monthly sales budgets based on the approved forecast.Provides timely, accurate, and competitive pricing on all products through formalized pricing policies, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service and monitor such performance.Produces internal reports indicating progress in this area.Develops specific action plans on idle/inactive inventory through special incentive plans and/or customer promotions.Ensures sales order entries within company ERP are consistent within regulated polices to ensure best operational performance and accurate accounting.Personally manage and visit accounts assigned specifically to sales manager.Regularly dialogues with counterparts at other Triple-S Steel facilities to ensure consistent pricing occurs where customers overlap.Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.Lead and develop sales representatives by aligning team performance with company policies, procedures, and strategic goals, ensuring consistent achievement of expectations.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsEducation and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and 3+ years related work experience in sales management. (Preferred)Steel Service Center experience (Preferred)Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Steel and Structural steel and sales and/or industrial sales are preferred.Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.Proven leadership and ability to drive sales and sales teams.Strong analytical & communication skills; written, oral and inter-personal.Basic mathematics and computer skills (Microsoft Office Products).Other:
