The Sales Manager position reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for the revenue performance of a team of Account Executives whose goal is to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets. To be considered for this position, you must have a minimum of three (3) years of digital and/or broadcast sales experience, a successful track record in business development, selling sports sponsorships, growing market share, employee recruitment, employee retention, and sales training. This is not a desk job! You are expected to be out in the market with Account Executives training, coaching, and executing customer needs analysis, proposal solutions, and monthly business reviews.
Position responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies which result in exceeding assigned revenue budgetsDrive new business advancementCreate advertising packagesDevelop and cultivate local client relationships alongside Account ExecutivesOversee inventory and revenue forecastingAllocate budgets and approve budget expendituresManage recruitment, training, evaluation, and development of broadcast/digital Account ExecutivesSupervise sales assistants Work closely with accounts receivable and sales team to maintain current collectionsPerform other duties as assignedRequirements & Skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, mass communications, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience A minimum of three years of Digital and or Broadcast sales experience is requiredExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenFluent in EnglishValid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportationExperience guiding, directing, and motivating personnel including setting and monitoring performance standardsExperience establishing long-range objectives and specifying the strategies and actions to achieve them Ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skillsCurrent knowledge of digital ad technology, online ad serving, Google Analytics, social platformsIAB and/or Google AdWords certification a plusProficiency with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom Experience with WideOrbit Traffic, WideOrbit Media Sales, and Matrix preferred#LI-Onsite
