We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and results-driven individual with a proven track record of driving sales revenues in the hospitality industry to join our team as Sales Manager. This key position is responsible for proactively soliciting and managing group business in assigned vertical and geographical markets. The Sales Manager actively seeks opportunities to maximize revenue, achieves personal and team-related sales goals, and ensures seamless turnover of business for proper service delivery. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver, a strong team player, and is dedicated to providing exceptional service that fosters customer and guest loyalty. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sales Activities: Proactively solicit and manage group business in assigned markets. Make personal visits to target areas and call on companies and associations in specific markets. Dedicate the majority of time to direct telephone sales efforts. Rework and maintain existing account files while actively soliciting new accounts. Respond promptly and professionally to all correspondence from assigned areas and ensure timely follow-up. Develop new accounts and expand the customer base. Client Engagement: Set up and conduct property site inspections for prospective clients. Attend trade shows, industry seminars, and networking functions to promote the property. Maintain ongoing relationships with corporate and association meeting planners through regular communication. Provide exceptional service to clients and guests, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of group business and conventions. Maintain accurate forecasts and recaps to support the sales strategy. Stay informed on industry trends and provide recommendations for operational improvements. Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and materials for target markets. Utilize marketing resources to support sales initiatives and drive revenue growth. Work with the regional marketing team to create marketing collateral that aligns with the property’s branding and sales objectives. Ensure timely delivery and distribution of marketing materials to potential clients. Contribute to the development of digital marketing campaigns to enhance market visibility. Provide feedback to the marketing team on campaign performance and market trends. Performance and Goals: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals as outlined by the Director of Sales and Marketing. Actively up-sell to maximize revenue opportunities. Ensure timely and accurate turnover of business for service delivery. REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel or resort sales experience. Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving revenue growth. Skills and Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, team members, and industry partners. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Creative problem-solver with analytical abilities. Proficient in sales software (preferably Delphi), CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Personal Attributes: Professional, courteous, and customer-focused demeanor. Open to learning, adaptable, and leads by example. Team player who collaborates effectively with others. Other Requirements: Ability to travel as required for trade shows, client meetings, and industry events. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
