Compensation: Compensation is dependent on experience and ranges from $59,400 - $63,000.
General Summary:
As a Sales Manager, you will focus on cultivating strong client relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring seamless collaboration to support successful events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain the booking calendar, manage correspondence, and ensure seamless follow-through on communications.
Handle sales and contracting for event business generated by internal leads and VISIT DENVER-booked clients.
Execute contract procedures, including negotiations, revisions, and amendments, in compliance with ASM GLOBAL policies.
Provide ongoing support and exceptional service to existing clients.
Respond promptly to inquiries received via the website, social media, CVENT, and other lead sources.
Conduct site tours and pre-convention meetings to support sales efforts and enhance client engagement.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure event success and operational efficiency.
Represent the convention center by participating in industry and community-related events as necessary.
Support the Assistant Director of Sales and Director of Sales and Services with other duties that contribute to the center’s success.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred, or 3–5 years of equivalent sales experience within the tourism industry; ideally with a focus on convention center operations.
CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification is preferred.
Experience in contract development and negotiation is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of staff and clientele, are required.
Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) required.
Ability to work effectively with diverse groups, both within the organization and in the community, required.
