Sales Manager
We are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join the Urick team. As the Sales Manager / Commercial Manager / Business Manager / Product Manager, you will lead all aspects of the commercial success of the business. The candidate must reside in the Erie, PA region. This position reports to the Urick Foundry Director. Your job will be to manage the current product portfolio, balance sales and capacity and drive higher return on sales while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will drive two-way communications and clearly articulate our value proposition and engage the end-customer in jointly addressing their business priorities. This role will have the ability to define and implement sales plans, track economic drivers and industry activity, and understand the implications on customers’ business, including new business opportunities, which is crucial for success in this position. This role includes up to 25% travel mostly within the tri-state area. We look forward to seeing your application! **In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Driving strategic new products sales and solutions to expand markets and share + Developing, presenting, & driving annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growth + Developing and managing a monthly/yearly sales forecast + Developing & owning relationships with customers, manufacturing reps and suppliers + Being the subject matter expert for the product, applications, & pricing program **Who You Are:** I…. + am self-motivated, a problem solver, and a solution provider. + am a servant leader. + enjoy & excel at building deep customer relationships. + plan, prioritize, & manage my work & time well. + prefer a hands-on approach with a “roll-up your sleeves and "get dirty” mentality. + collaborate & communicate effectively both internally and externally across multiple teams. + wear many hats well and appreciate the impact various teams can have on business success **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or other relevant subject areas and 2+ years relevant experience; OR minimum of five years relevant experience instead of a Bachelor's Degree + Experience with sales that are on a made to order basis + Experience in a manufacturing environment + Demonstrated success in formulating, presenting, executing, & measuring a Business Plan to deliver incremental sales growth + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal + Driving strategic new products sales and solutions to expand markets and share + Developing and managing a monthly/yearly sales forecast + A proven track record and successful history of achieving goals and sales targets + Developing & owning relationships with customers, independent reps., and valued suppliers + Legal authorization to work within the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** + Five years of proven experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B Sales preferred + Proficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint. + Deep understanding of the foundry process + Supervisory experience (manage priorities and workloads for the Customer Service Rep and Master Scheduler and function as primary backup in their absence.) + A metals background is strongly preferred + Demonstrates courage to have managerial conversations that challenge the status quo **Mental Requirements:** + Uses computers frequently; collaborate with the other employees and customers by telephone, mail, electronic mail, and/or in person. **Physical Requirements:** + Normally assigned to an office environment; may occasionally be required to be in the factory environment. May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
