JOB SUMMARY

\n

• Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads;

\n

• Develop corporate and government accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the specific hotel/cluster and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams;

\n

• Negotiate room rates/packages with local corporate clients and government;

\n

• Recognize and execute opportunities for Hilton Honors as well as other hotel incentives programmers

\n

• Prepare company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions;

\n

• Work within current business strategies and recognize potential opportunities;

\n

• Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional Guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs;

\n

• Produce accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of Director of Sales and senior management, including appointments, calls made and business leads;

\n

• Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner;;

\n

• Assist the Head of department with recruiting, managing, training and developing the Team Members;

\n

What will I be doing? 

\n

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 

\n\nImplement all sales action plans related to the respective market (by segment and geographical locations) as outlined in the marketing plan. \nActively participate in achieving the departmental goals which contribute to the marketing budget. \nClosely monitor accounts revenue and business production for Corporate / FIT / M.I.C.E. accounts. \nMaximize up-selling opportunities whenever possible. \nAssist the Commercial Manager in the forecasting of rooms’ revenue and ATR for Corporate / FIT / M.I.C.E. / LSG (Long Staying Guests) groups. \nAttend major travel functions and promotional events (i.e. trade shows) and promotes sales (rooms, catering, and other facilities and services) for the hotel. \nPlan sales trips, under the direct approval of the Commercial Manager to major market areas, calling on accounts within the specific market areas.  \nReport to the Commercial Manager on potential markets needing coverage. \nGather information of competitors, such as rate, top accounts and production, room, F&B and events, and report to the Director of Sales regularly. \nKeep updated with client relationships and overall business goals through regular entertainment and some activities. \nMeet and welcome some top key accounts, group organizers and VIP guests upon check-in. \nTake responsibility to conduct hotel inspection for all walk-ins, meeting groups and contracted clients and plan next step for future follow. \nMaintain a high level of exposure for the hotel in major market areas through direct sales, telephone, fax, and written communication. \nNegotiate with accounts on banquet, outside catering events. \nDevelop increased room nights as well as banquet revenue. \nResponsible for the dissemination of the group’s related information to other departments e.g. issues on banquet event orders and group resumes, chairing pre-event meetings. \nMaintain close co-ordination with respective departments on organizer’s requirements and last-minute event requirements. \nBe visible to organizers and clients during their event / group dates and monitor guest satisfaction. \nOversee the operation of banquet functions and work closely with various departments to ensure quality service is delivered to our clients at all times. \nRegularly review Master A/C postings to ensure postings are correctly done.  \nReview bills with organizers regularly to eliminate adjustments needed on final invoice. \nVerify total charges and layout of invoices prepared by Accounts Receivable and send out to organizers. \nObtain feedback from clients and follow through with the necessary actions. \nRefer leads and send event profile information to relevant sister hotels or NSO / ISO (if any). \nMaintain the active event profile database and group chart. \nEstablish and maintain files of major accounts and assist the Commercial Manager in maintaining the accounts management system. \nEstablish good working relationship with internal customers (other departments of the hotel) and external customers (clients, event contractors, suppliers). \nThe Management reserves the right to change / extend this job description if necessary, at any point of time during her / his employment. \nCarry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. \n

\n\nExperience: 2–3 years of corporate sales experience in luxury hotels.\nSales Performance: Proven track record of successfully closing sales and achieving revenue targets.\nClient Management: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders.\nMarket Knowledge: Deep understanding of the hospitality industry, corporate sales strategies, and market trends\nNegotiation Skills: Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities to secure high-value contracts.\nCommunication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).\nMobility: Willingness to travel for business as required.\nTeamwork & Leadership: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and contribute to sales strategies.\n\n
