Education & experience

Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing/Commercial ( food manufacturing highly recommended)10 years sales experience in a FMCG environmentFive years sales management experience in a FMCG environmentValid drivers’ licensePrepared to work long hours when requiredPrepared to work weekends and public holidaysPrepared to work in informal and formal trade sectorExperience in managing P&L ( discount management & profitability)Experience in Capital management

WHAT YOU WILL DO: Sales ManagementPlan and direct the activity of a Sales team, ensuring they consistently deliver against targets and KPIsGrow volumes in existing markets through existing sales structuresDevelop new markets & channelsMonitor bakery sales activity and success rates against targets, and take appropriate corrective action where necessary.Develop strong business relationships with store management to provide service and value beyond the customer's expectations.Ensure that merchandising frequency is planned and conducted to brand and store demands.Gather intelligence and report on customer preferences, competitive activity & pricingDevelop and maintain a complete knowledge of products within your portfolio, sales systems and procedures.Ensure that product quality delivers to the required Tiger Brands level, securing a consistent outputAssess procedures and equipment to find improvement potential, ultimately increasing production efficiency and customer satisfactionSecure the customer and consumer satisfaction needed to drive growth in the competitive bakeries marketWork with customers to ensure sufficient product is ordered to support consumer take away.Asset ManagementManage point of sales material   Basket management to reduce losses Senior Leadership/interface relationship
