Lucas Meyer Cosmetics By Clariant is a business unit of Clariant which develops, manufactures, and markets innovative ingredients for the cosmetic and personal care industry. We offer actives, functional ingredients, and delivery systems from various origins.
This position is based on East China with 50% travel in the country.
Responsibilities
Drives territory performance and development by: Building profitable sales in East China through additional sales with current customers through local distributors and demonstrates commitment to prospecting and new business development. Development of sales in East China in line with the agreed annual sales budget and provide forecasting regularly in the year to ensure the target revenues achieved. Continually monitor and appraise emerging products or trends to identify and report on business opportunities in East China. Work closely with distributors & customers to be supportive and helpful while retaining confidentiality and implementing agreed product strategies. Provide technical support and knowhow to increase our overall value to the customers. Liaising with LMC Customer Service internally to keep up-to-date regarding open orders, pending samples, quotations, shipment follow up, etc. Update CRM system by providing opportunities and visit reports with detailed information of items discussed, competitive information and industry developments. Enhance LMC’s position within each corporate account using consultative and in-depth selling at all levels within the account. Maintain a clear and updated view of opportunities in the pipeline. Coordinate with other sales managers and communicate clearly as needed to ensure the regional team is aware of account activity and any actions required to successfully service the customer.
Requirements
BA/BS Degree or higher; specialization in Chemistry, Biology, Business, or Marketing a plus 10+ Years of previous industry sales experience in Cosmetic ingredients. Previous work with multi-national customers is preferred. Candidates must be authorized to work in East China, without sponsorship, now and/or in the future.
