The Role: 

 

Pollock Orora is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager. This position will report to the: Division Manager Travel Requirement:  50-65% of Travel Required  FLSA Status:  Exempt

 

What You'll be Responsible For in this Role:

 

 

In this role, you will supervise sales activities of our organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, such as formulating sales objectives and goals, developing training programs for sales reps, and participating on sales calls and engaging with both existing and new client and cultivating those relationships.

Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program Analyzes individual sales representative’s sales to formulate a plan to assist in reaching of established goals Involved in product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units Assists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publications Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales Directs product research and development Recommends expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work Assists with daily sales problems Maintain communications between management and sales representatives Submits Quarterly Evaluation and Activity Report May assist other Sales Managers when they are on vacation Maintains own sales Develop new business Conduct meetings with their sales team Attends Sales Managers and General Sales meetings every 2 weeks Interviews potential sales reps Processing of invalids Conduct quarterly call reviews with assigned sales person Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels To verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected

What We’re Looking For  

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Four-year degree or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably within the packaging industry or a related industry

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Ability to write reports, business correspondence.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to add, subtract, and multiply, and divide.  Ability to use whole numbers, common fractions and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers Ability to solve practical problems.  Provides leadership, motivation and positive attitude to all coworkers both in his/her department as well as the Division SAP experience
