Guests feel it; you'll feel it too. **What You'll Do** As the Sales Manager, you’ll consistently provide a high level of exposure of the hotel in major market areas through direct sales solicitation, telephone contact, written communications, and involvement in the community. You’ll be the face of Kimpton at the local and regional level. + Successfully achieve or exceed quarterly individual pace/production goals based on assigned markets. + Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through various efforts including prospecting, site tours, sales blitzes, prompt and competent follow-up on leads/referrals, use of reader board analysis, and networking in order to maximize room revenue to meet and/or exceed individual and team sales and revenue goals. + Develop and continually enhance relationships with key accounts, business and travel industry accounts, community organizations and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase market share. + Successfully and consistently achieve minimum weekly sales activities requirements. + Track all weekly sales activities including goal-to-current production status using Delphi. + Conduct telephone prospect calling on a myriad of pre-selected databases of socialcatering opportunities, Kimpton group accounts, leads, and those accounts which you know (that we may not) and anything else you can think of to generate more Sales business + Conduct sales presentations to clients and ownership verbally and using the latest Technology + Conduct and create Fam Trips for meeting planners/companies + Lead Follow up/ Lead generation + Conduct site inspections + Attend trade shows as needed + Travel as needed, to complete personal sales calls and presentations to customers within your discipline/ region + Be nimble, when writing the marketing action plans that you will create and complete. + Build creative proposals + Negotiate and execute contracts that are fair and profitable + Act as the Delphi Admin and Trainer for Sales and Marketing Department + Responsible for Travel advisor and American Express reservations + Responsible for local 406 rate, good neighbor, solicitation + Will submit for local calendar postings of activations and events in the area + Will be the liaison and submit for downtown BZN events and participation + Responsible for managing and administrating gift cards and comp’d stay nights + Manage Social Media accounts for the property + Manage Amex, Virtuoso, visit napa valley and internova portal with promotions, yearly contracts, and hotel news + Strengthen the relationships and built contracts with key leisure consortium programs + Contact major consortia channels to develop marketing exposure, opportunities, and strategies such as complimentary marketing tactics or trade + Collaborate with Revenue team to upload rates and codes into GDS system + Spearhead Armory admission to Virtuoso program + Develop Leisure sales presentation + Host webinars to present both hotels to new TA’s + Liaison between TA and operation team for guest service recoveries + Coordinate and execute all media guests visits + Develop sales strategies with DOSM to meet budget + Pull monthly rate production and compare to last years. Identity trends and need periods to drive revenue **What You Bring** + 2+ years of hospitality experience, ideally within a restaurant or related banquet setting. + Previous structured sales training course is a plus. + You're highly creative, with strong sales and interpersonal skills! + You've got great communication skills both internally and externally. + Professional phone etiquette, writing skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office. + Well organized, detail-oriented, with excellent follow-up skills. The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $75,000. This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
