Sales Manager - Life Sciences

Hologic Diagenode is an international biotech company that develops and commercializes innovative instruments, reagents and services for life science research and molecular diagnostics.

As the leader in the field of epigenetics, Hologic Diagenode provides full solutions for chromatin profiling and DNA methylation research. Our products include sonication instruments, kits for chromatin immunoprecipitation and DNA methylation analysis, and high-quality antibodies. We also provide Epigenomic Services to support epigenetics-related discoveries, mechanism of action, transgenerational studies, epigenetic biomarker identification, including cancer biomarkers and functional epigenomics. Our goal is to make epigenetic research accessible and to ensure consistent data in every experiment.

We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to join the Life Sciences team.  Working closely with the Global Sales and Marketing Manager, the Sales Manager will lead a team to develop and achieve business growth and market share within North America: US/CAN.

What You Can Expect: 

As a Sales Manager you will coach, develop and engage the team and motivate them to achieve relevant targets.  Develop the market in the US/CAN to achieve short, medium and long-term strategic business plans and annual sales targets plans. Develop and achieve accurate forecasts quarterly. Work with the business development and marketing departments to promote customer demand, organically grow existing accounts and generate new business relationships. Work collaboratively with Field Applications Specialists to ensure proper support of existing and future customers Establish and maintain high level Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships. Represent the company at trade association meetings, scientific events and conferences to promote company and product & services. 

What We Expect: 

7+ years of management experience of sales team/ function with a proven ability to motivate and direct a sales team to meet goals and objectives. A Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Life Sciences, Research experience in genetics would be beneficial. Excellent communication, sales ability, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate a passion for our business and a desire to develop a customer-centric team. Strong interpersonal, problem solving, communication, and leadership skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Salesforce CRM.

Additional Details:

Valid driver’s license and driving record satisfactory to the Company required. Up to 40-50% travel time – fluctuating with business requirements. Ideal to reside in close proximity to major cities/ airports.

The total compensation range for this role is $140,000 to $220,000. This is based on a base salary and commission plan combination. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, territory/ geography, education, business needs, market demand and performance versus quota.
