About the Job
This position supports the Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Innovation, Sales & Business Directors, Business Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Customer Service, Logistics, and Research & Development. The role will have responsibilities both for day-to-day activities as well as project-oriented activities within the sales & marketing department.
+ Coordinates and executes on the company bid submission activities. Maintains accurate files, required certificates and bonds and responds to all requests in a timely manner.
+ Manages signatures, storage and organization of legal agreements for the department including commercial agreements and patent filings.
+ Support the Vice President with the preparation of the annual departmental budget, travel arrangements, expense reporting and scheduling. Coordinates departmental meetings including the quarterly Sales Meetings for the Commercial Department – this may require attendance and travel.
+ Tracks activities and spending related to the departmental budget and routes/codes invoices for payment.
+ Manages the customer sample program, coordinating between customers, plants, labs and internal sales to supply and track customer and DOT samples.
+ Coordinate registration, payment, and delivery of giveaways for customer sponsorship outings. Maintain & track sports ticket membership and inventory/usage for customer engagement. Manage supplies for the department including company logo clothing, customer giveaways and digital and paper business cards
+ Frequent customer telephone contact which requires excellent communication and follow up skills. Ability to perform inside sales activities as needed. Manages updated files of customer & industry contact information.
+ Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
+ Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred
+ Experience: Three or more years business experience preferred with backgrounds in customer service, business, logistics, marketing or sales
+ Skills: Basic computer skills with operating knowledge of Microsoft software
+ Certifications: Must have or be willing to become a notary
