Purpose of the position

We are looking for an experienced mechanical and control systems engineer who will provide technical support to the sales team and our customers. Your primary role will be to provide hands-on technical support for our products and to promote new products, such as crane etc., with the sales team. Implementing product or service solutions that meet our customer’s needs will be your responsibility.

Main tasks and responsibilities

1.Expand sales of products and services through technical explanations to customers.

2.Prepare basic design plans, technical specifications and estimates that meet customer requirements.

3 .Respond to enquiries from customers about the technical aspects of the organization's products and services.

4.Summarize the cost of each part and design, technical skill, inspection, main body, hardware, equipment at the time of estimate.

5.Support key internal stakeholders in the promotion of products and solutions to appropriate end users through customer meetings, events and other channels.

6.Create sales support material and documentation.

What you’ll need to succeed

 More than 3 years of relevant experience in engineering
 Strong knowledge of strength of materials, mechanics, and mechanical design
 Be able to use 2D CAD ( 3D CAD preferable)
 Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical control design (preferable)
 Knowledge of ship classification rules (preferable)
 Knowledge of ship equipment design and can formulate appropriate technical solutions (preferable)
 Strategic orientation and Engaging customers
 Adapting to change and Collaborate for win
 Fluent in Japanese and English
