A Day in the Life
Reporting to the Sr. Sales Supervisor, the Sales Representative will be a critical team member covering Structural Heart business area in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do, promoting a highly innovative product line portfolio within the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI). This is a rewarding and challenging position that provides opportunity to truly make an im mediate impact and achieve positive clinical outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provides clinical consultation during SH procedures including but not limited to, TAVI and TPV:
Serves as trusted technical expert for Transcatheter products
Is present in a consultative role at SH procedures
Perform and train scrub to load the SH implants in the sterile field
Provides third party reference/experience for troubleshooting techniques
Up to date on published literature and recommendations
Know and advise on Evolut Platform IFU and Melody IFUs
Coordinate and support physician proctor
Available to other Therapy Sales Specialists for “on-call” technical support
Reporting device or procedure related events, i.e. Medical Device Report (MwDR)
Responsible for SH products (i.e., shipment, confirmation of receipt, usage, billing
Provide timely feedback to management regarding work status, as well as other critical issues which affect the business and customers
2. Field Activity Support
Support all Business Unit activities
Maintain well the relationships with primary and secondary implanters, their referral partners, administrative leadership, office personnel and support staff
Support assigned non-implanting sites in preparation/readiness assessment
3. Administrative Responsibilities
Submits accurate and timely reports to management on a monthly basis regarding travel and support rendered
Supports clinical study compliance requirements (if applicable)
Completes expense reports with necessary documentation.
Schedules travel arrangements to ensure multiple objectives are accomplished.
Comes to cases prepared with appropriate products and clinical literature
Balances administrative duties with other job responsibilities.
Identifies and maintains all requirements for various hospital credentialing (Reptrax, etc.)
4. Maintains expertise and knowledge in relation to Medtronic Coronary and Aotic products.
Work within and actively promote Medtronic’s core mission, corporate strategies, policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
Work on boosting sales through synergy creation with the Coronary and Aortic team
Must-Have
Completed Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
2 - 7 years of sales experience or clinical/marketing experience in cardiology medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, including distributor/channel management
Demonstrated ability to operate from idea generation, strategy development through detailed implementation and results delivery
Must have effective written and communication skills in English and Korean languages
Must be flexible, team-oriented, fast-learner, adaptive to changes, and willingness to be trained
Must have an active driver’s license
Nice to Haves
Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or related courses
Industry experience is highly regarded (Medical Devices or Healthcare)
Experience with interventional cardiology (wire, balloons, catheters, stents) and Imaging or experience/exposure in cardiac surgery & surgical aortic valve repair
Previous experience in surgical assistance
Direct experience interacting and dealing with key opinion leaders and other leading roles in the scientific and clinical community
