Sales Representative

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to join our team in Medicine Hat, AB. This role reports directly to the Area Sales Manager, with an indirect reporting relationship to the Operations Manager, Southern Alberta.

What you'll get to do:Proactively & strategically shape results by knowing your customers & the market.Assist in the formulation, development, and coordination of the delivery of highly valued account plans for existing/potential new customers to achieve mutual business objectives.Effectively develop and leverage existing customer relationships, as well as achieve new business goals of sales growth within each segment.Prepare quotations per customer requirements.Compile market intelligence and identify potential project opportunities.Participate in the development of marketing plans, sales targets, and pricing strategies.Provide technical knowledge in the application of products.Resolve customer issues to maintain high levels of satisfaction.Represent the Company within the business community and industry associations.Support a strong team culture by engaging in team meetings that drive alignment and team success.
Who we are looking for:Three to five years of sales / marketing experience, preferably in a construction materials environment or significant concrete materials technical experience and knowledgeBachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience preferredConstruction market and industry knowledge an assetHas brought value to the customer by listening to their needs, being responsive, and earning trust daily. Proven track record demonstrating revenue, volume, and profitability growthHighly developed interpersonal and communication skills with solid organizational, multi-tasking and time management capabilities.Advanced problem solving and decision-making skills.Proven ability to set objectives and work independently.Advanced computer and analytics skills, proficient in Microsoft OfficeGoal and results oriented with the ability to take initiative.CRM software experiencePrefer business to business sales and customer service experience
Work Environment:Role operates in an office and manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.Regular travel within Southern Alberta will be required We are a drug free work environment.Our pre-employment process includes reference checks, a medical test, a criminal record check, and providing a clear valid driver’s abstract.
