Sales Representative (Food Industry Exp Required)

FlexStaff is seeking a Sales Representative for our client, a Nassau County based food importer. This position is full-time, hybrid (3 days/week in the office).
*Sales in the wholesale food industry required*
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct outside sales activities within assigned territory to meet sales targets Build and maintain relationships with existing customers as well as growing our customer base Identify and pursue new business opportunities Utilize CRM software to track sales activities and manage customer accounts Provide technical sales support and product information to customers Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential sales strategies and assist purchasing team with buying forecast Negotiate pricing and contracts with customers and prepare and assist with bids Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may ariseREQUIREMENTS
Proven experience in outside sales in the food industry is required Strong sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets Strong project management skills, including the ability to multi-task and translate creative ideas into action with a clear ROI. Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment and able to meet deadlines, stay focused, be self-motivated and show integrity Excellent account management and customer service skills Ability to analyze market data and identify sales opportunities, must be a critical thinker Strong communication and presentation skillsBENEFITS
