Additionally, the position includes offering basic assistance with customer inquiries and issue. **Major Duties and Responsibilities:** + Work on selling of company products and services. + Process, expedite and input customer orders, process required export documentation, exercising approved authority within given guidelines/policies to insure completed delivery of the order. + Maintain customer records and files; handle inquiries and troubleshoot customer issues. + Function as liaison between customers and SHAPE associates to facilitate completed delivery. + Various computer file maintenance, report and document preparation and distribution. + Software Registration assistance for customers. + Provide part numbers for basic consumable parts to customers who request them. + Provide basic troubleshooting assistance for customer problems by utilizing prepared step by step documentation. + Process complex orders while working w/ a project team. + Understand the overall business strategy to effectively handle the higher-level customer issues/orders. + Analyze customer buying patterns and utilize CRM tools to determine opportunities to increase sales. + Actively participate in aftermarket sales, including making outbound calls and processing orders. + Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts from installation information; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. + Closes new accounts by answering telephone, fax, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information. **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** + High level of analytical ability where problems are complex. + Strong oral and written communication skills. + Ability to work independently. + High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, solicit input from customers, motivate department staff and obtain cooperation from associates in other departments. + Innovative/creative thinking. + Able to multi-task the activities of shifting priorities + Intermediate computer and Microsoft office knowledge **Supervisory Responsibility:** + None **Education and/or Training:** + High school graduate or equivalent training. + Minimum of three (3) years of customer service experience and/or inside sales experience. **Compensation:** + Eligible for commission and bonus based on performance.
