This opportunity is a remote sales position within our OSB business. Located in market or 3 days per week at a regional office this sales position will be primarily responsible for covering our sales activity out of our Hudson Bay OSB mill.
Position Details:
As an OSB Sales Representative for Weyerhaeuser’s Panels business, you will have a key role on the team that manufactures and sells our OSB products. This individual will interact daily with long-term customers and distributors to strategically sell and position our commodity products in the market.
You will collaborate with a team of sales professionals as well as be a part of a larger sales team representing other Weyerhaeuser products. You will be continually challenged to deepen your knowledge and expertise in areas such as customer product needs, product mix, and technical manufacturing specs. You will be challenged with opportunities to build upon your strengths, and to develop new skills and abilities that will promote your professional growth.
As a OSB Sales Representative you will have the opportunity to:
Manage all facets of our OSB business to accomplish strategic sales revenue goals with maximized price and profits. Includes management of product mix while working closely with the mill to match capacities and availability.Develop new customers/products and provide support for on-going customers with field travel, training and communication as part of this sales team. Analyze and provide daily quotations, order changes, inquiries and claim resolutionAssist in analyzing overall OSB business financials, opportunities, trends, product margins, and long-term strategic planning. Analyze and tactically monitor competitor activities and pricing.Sell value-added products to accounts within a geographic region, as well as seek opportunities for new business. Manage relationships and programs within the customer base with proven skills to sell value. Monitor business and industry conditions, customer developments and competitive activities.Work with production team to balance day-to-day product/order mix to optimize mill, shipping and inventory capabilities while anticipating and managing market variances.Respond to customer inquiries regarding product, price, tech specs, applications, availability, mill capabilities, etc. Probe for and share marketplace developments with the team.Coach and develop other members on the team.This opportunity is a remote sales position within our OSB business. Ability to travel up to 30%Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $94,200 - $137,400 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
