Your role and responsibilities

ABB is seeking a Sales Account Manager for its Reno, NV territory. Our Sales Account Manager will be responsible to develop and maintain productive working relationships with assigned Commercial Contractors & Distributors, at all levels of their organizationsThe work model for the role is: remote (Li-Remote)This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the Reno, NV territory. You will be mainly accountable for:• Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize market share and margin. Motivate contractors to prefer ABB, manage contractor accounts, maintain organizational relationships, and oversee growth plans, marketing programs, and training.• Perform take-offs and develop cost-effective proposals for electrical distribution and control equipment and services. Generate cross-selling leads and streamline business processes with Industrial Solutions• Conduct training presentations to promote ABB. Provide technical product training, joint sales calls, and application support. Understand the trade area and identify project targets while meeting or exceeding assigned volume and margin measurements.• Track sales leads, wins and losses in CRM system; perform analysis on hit-rate data, create customer marketing programs (NPI launch, training) to promote ABB products and services and mine construction data (Dodge, bid board) to identify key trends in marketplace and new product needs.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering preferred) / MS EE preferred. and a minimum of 5 years of industry experience requiredDemonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and products is preferred, as well as experience working with distributors and electrical contractors.Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs, as well as ability to apply Six Sigma to improve customer satisfaction preferred.Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
