The Opportunity  

For our Abbott Diabetes Care Division ADC we are currently looking for an experienced sales talent to join our commercial team in Slovakia as an Sales Specialist. This is a field-based role requiring daily traveling across assigned territory - Central Slovakia.

Primary Objective of Position:

Increase sales and market share of Abbott Diabetes Care products. Establishing strong relationships with internal and external health care constituents.Keeping current on internal and competitive products and positioning.Effectively planning for and following through with short and long-term results based on business trends by developing plans. Keeping current in market trends and competitor’s strategy.

What You'll do:

Meeting or exceeding sales quotas/objectives for ADC Products.Establishing strong relationships with a broad base of internal and external health care constituents (e.g., physicians, nurses) and with patients.Conducting product related training sessions for doctors, nurses and patients (webinars or traditional in-house training).Understanding and conveying information professionally and accurately.Effectively planning for and following through with short and long term results based on business trends by developing plans that include goals, action plans, time frames and the appropriate resources.Develops and implements plans (e.g., territory, account and call) that include goals, action items, time frames and resources.Regularly tracks and reports progress against plan, redirecting efforts as necessary.Completes all administrative tasks accurately and in a timely fashion. Document daily activity in call reporting / tracking system.Maintain accountability for all samples in accordance with Division guidelines.

Required qualifications and background:

University degree in business and medical or technical discipline is desired, secondary school is a must.Diabetes clinical knowledge is highly desirable.Previous experience in sales is required.Good knowledge of local industry: changing market dynamics, key competitors, terminology, challenges and potential government regulations.Experience developing relationships with, selling to and negotiating with stakeholders in targeted, non-enterprise accounts.Good command of English and excellent/native level of Czech/Slovak.Strong communication skills, high energy, integrity and ambition to succeed.Fluency in using computer technologies, Internet, digital communication tools, office package and others.
