Description We are in search of a Sales Support team member in the retail industry, based in New York, New York, United States. This role provides a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will play a key role in supporting our sales efforts by managing customer inquiries, processing orders, and maintaining product knowledge.
Responsibilities
• Facilitate meetings, vendor fairs, and trade shows by ensuring necessary preparations such as arranging samples, shipping, and creating line sheets
• Responsible for processing orders, particularly for international accounts and other key accounts
• Manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) creation
• Maintain in-office sample management for various product categories including optical, sun, and readers
• Develop a comprehensive understanding and general knowledge of our products
• Handle and resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally
• Contribute to developing customer service standards and maintaining the brand voice across all accounts
• Collaborate with internal teams to design and manage end-to-end process flows and execution
• Promote a positive work environment by treating all team members with respect and demonstrating that internal customers are as valuable as external ones. Requirements • Experience in the retail industry is essential
• Previous role as Sales Support or similar is required
• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services is necessary
• Familiarity with Configure Price Quote (CPQ) is needed
• Ability to work with CRM systems is crucial
• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a must
• Knowledge in ERP Solutions is required
• Proficiency in About Time software is beneficial
• Comfortable in answering inbound calls is essential
• Experience in auditing is preferred
• Ability to handle billing functions efficiently is necessary
