Sales Support Engineer

We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join our Group and support our teams in driving World Class Excellence with Tempurature+Systems. Within Temperature+Systems, we utilize state-of-the-art production techniques and manufacturing technologies to ensure the quality of the instrumentation produced, as well as the safety of employees and the environment.
What is the role about?
Responsible for supporting the acquisition process related to all customer requests via Sales Development Managers and/or Sales Centers. These include technical clarification, quotations, documentation, understanding manufacturing process standards and other engineering standard practices related to temperature + system products measurement. Additional support will be required in the execution of the production process and support of innovation projects.
Which tasks will you perform?
You will:
Support the temperature + system products acquisition process by reviewing specifications, requirements, and other requests from sales centers and end customers to ensure conformity to requests. Provide technical support to customers by responding to inquiries about our products, their application or explaining our product design as it fits in their processes. Analyze customer specifications to determine if standard or special products fit their needs. If a special product is required, collaborate with production and operations to determine if manufacturing can be done based on proposed product design. Configure products, modify designs, prepare schematics and drawings, generate time and cost estimates, write exceptions to customer specifications and prepare pricing for formal quotations. Serve as a joint-process owner of product testing requirements and calculations based on industry norms and customer requirements. Identify special materials needed to meet customer specifications and functional requirements; then work with purchasing, engineering, and quality to identify qualified vendors. Identify product options that need to be industrialized or transferred based on synergies seen in production processes, past or future forecasts. Write, edit, and audit product literature, technical instructions (TIs) and instruction operation manuals (IOMs) and other specific literature to ensure correctness. Assist and maintain ISO procedures and documents that apply to position. Technical trainer for sales and marketing colleagues within the geographical regions of responsibility. Promote temperature products with end users via on-site visits, webinars, video conferences, etc. Use of CAD programs (CREO) to develop custom parts or devices for customer applications Assist in development and implementation of various sales tools supporting temperature + system products selection and configuration. All other duties as assigned.
What do we expect from you?
You:
Bachelor’s degree (BS) in an engineering discipline or technology degree. Mechanical is preferred. Additionally at least 1 – 3 years of related experience in process automation or engineering design.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong working knowledge of material requirements, mechanical manufacturing processes and concepts, I.E. welding, machining and materials SAP experience
